Sleep - The Power of Trinity
Sleep is an important part of our lives. With enough sleep, we wake up feeling refreshed and ready to conquer the world. Every day millions of people around the world have to contend with sleep deprivation. But this should not be the case if we study the proper sleep philosophy that will affect our quality of life and longevity. After all, sleep quality determines our state of health and well-being. How did this philosophy come to be? In my years of studying Chinese Chinese metaphysics, I discovered the connection between mind and body when it comes to the flow of energy known as Qi or life force. This life force is universal and can be manipulated by a process known as the trinity - heaven (BaZi), earth (Fengshui), and man (pillars of luck). In the idea of the trinity and power, man is a conscious creature with a mindset of thoughts that flow from the mind - the Qi control center. And Qi flows where the mind goes. In order for the trinity to function, one needs to bind the mind so that the Qi can flow smoothly and easily especially when the body is at rest. Sleep occurs only when the mind is free from anxiety and stress. This is the place where the brain works in strange ways to get into a condition of rest. When a person tries to sleep, it can be difficult to fall asleep. This leads to what is known as anxiety-related anxiety which makes it difficult to sleep. To get into a state of relaxation, the mind and body need to align with the trinity of body relaxation, mental comfort, and Qi movement. This includes the process known as three forces as follows: - 1) Know that trying hard to sleep does not help at all 2) Get in a comfortable position in the bed 3) Clear your mind from any unnecessary thoughts The power of 1) is to see that sleep is something that cannot be controlled by conscious effort as the mind is always anxious when trying to sleep. Thus, you need to learn to let sleep happen automatically. Be at peace with this fact and accept it. Strength 2), find a place to rest in a bed that your body is accustomed to and that is where you are like water. This is because water that forms its way in the form of soil flows over it. And Qi will flow accordingly. Power 3), your mind is a playground of thoughts. You can clear your mind or jump over the thoughts in your head. Try to clear your mind of thoughts and do not let worry enter your mind. If you fail to do so, at least skip any thoughts that come your way and then jump over them. This means that your thoughts will suddenly rise above your mind like water falling from the roof when it rains. No savings. You need to exercise your physical and mental strength by doing the three exercises above as a procedure. Do it consistently to be a natural part of the sleep process. As you learn more about this process, sleep will come naturally as part of a triune power. Apart from the mind, we also need to provide the body with healthy and nutritious food. As we grow older, melatonin production decreases. This sleep hormone can be enhanced by eating healthy foods like your daily diet. There are a variety of foods on the market that offer good sleep such as fruits, seeds, nuts, oats, and milk. My personal favorites muesli cereals contain a mixture of blueberry, cranberry, roasted almonds, cashew nuts, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, chopped oats, wheat, etc. This adds to the delicious taste of whole grains when pouring milk. . If you do not tolerate lactose, you can always go with soy milk. Makes hygienic meals for breakfast, lunch, or supper. At bedtime, you can also supplement your diet with magnesium which is a powerful muscle relaxant for all minerals. Take in the form of a capsule of 350 -500 mg about 2 hours before bedtime.
